I have to be completely honest, Embers is my least favorite of this series so far and not because it’s a bad book. It’s a great book, and I still think Susanne Valenti is awesome but it just broke my heart. I read it all in just a couple of hours because I just could NOT put it down… I cried and laughed and wanted to jump through pages and torture people!!! (you’ll understand once you read it)
I’m not giving you any details so if that’s what your after you can turn around now 😉 What I will tell you is this…
Embers goes back to the time during Broken, only a different place and characters are the main focus. Then they end around the same time. This kind of upset me, only because I NEED more… (Apparently I’m very impatient when it comes to the next installment in a series)
Coal is dead, okay maybe not but we all believed he was including his family. He also believed they were all dead. He had to reason to live, no reason to fight. But, for some reason he did. Now, he knows it was a good thing. This is probably my shortest and worst review yet, and I’m sorry for that. I can not give you ANY info without spoiling it all. Even if I could, you just have to trust me on this one and read it for yourself. If you haven’t yet read the whole Cage of Lies series. You won’t regret it!
